When I set up a new machine, I do the whole job: I create the Windows account properly, run every pending update, strip out the trial software nobody wants and reconnect the printer. Then I move your files, photos and bookmarks across from the old machine, checking the transfer before I leave. Homework machines get set up with accounts for the whole family and the printer working before term piles up. A basic PC or laptop setup sits in the £50–£75 band on my pricing page, and phone and remote diagnosis is free until I tell you what is wrong and what it will cost.
When a scam or an infection gets in, I clean the whole machine: I sweep for malware, remove the pop-ups and any remote-access tool the callers left behind, reset browser and account security, set up honest antivirus, and talk you through what the next attempt will look like, so you can hang up with confidence. Phones and tablets get the same care on the software side — scam apps, rogue profiles and adware removed, accounts locked down with proper passwords and two-factor — though I don't repair phone screens or other hardware; this is the security side only. Scheduled cleanups like these run at £25 per 15 minutes, first hour capped at £75 on weekdays, after that £25 per 15 minutes with no cap.
